Client: Storebrand Asset Management / Vikaterrassen
Timeframe: April 2015 - June 2016
Team: Vikaliv started out as a ten week student project at Emergence School of Leadership with Rikke Lund and Caroline Gefle as part of the team. From August 2015: Emergence Projects + a range of collaborators. To mention some: Maverick Concepts, Ren Reklame, Studio Maco, Svinepels and many, many more.
Idea or problem we set out to solve:
‘Life forms in Vika’ is a series of scenes foreshadowing the destination to come. People will watch the new Vika unfold and experience it first hand. Small and big enactments capture the imagination, while simultaneously fulfilling daily needs. The street as a stage, community and neighbourhood.
- Maverick Concepts
In the spring of 2015 we set out while still students at Emergence School of Leadership to work on a project for Maverick Concepts and Storebrand Asset Management. One of Storebrand's properties Vikaterrassen was due to undergo a major redevelopment over the next two years.
Maverick Concept had created an interesting concept for the street while being re-developed, but needed someone to take their concept and make it into something that could come to life.
Over a period of a year, we used the building site - with a lot of help of good collaborators - to involve the neighbourhood, the school, the lawyers and bankers and people living in the area. We wanted to engage them, and at the same time forecasting what were to come.
